THE ROW FOR SUPERGA- DIY
Season after season when I want to wear a sneaker, but still look chic the Superga is my go to. When Superga and The Olsen twins collaborated about a year ago, they made the sneaker even more appealing by adding gold accents instead of the usual silver ones. I immediately ran to purchase them. Woahh stop right there – $250 vs. $50 for the original version? I knew I could make them myself for a quarter of the price….and I did!!
You can usually find a sale! I purchased my Supergas in black for $50 and then went to my local art store to buy a Krylon Gold Leafing pen for $7. Believe it or not, I saved $193!
- Remove the laces.
- Carefully paint the silver grommets and the plastic end portion of the laces (paint dries fast!)
- After the paint has dried lace up your shoes however you like, I chose this straight bar lace pattern here.
- Enjoy!
